1. Eligibility for Refunds and Returns
You may be eligible for a refund or exchange if:
- The product is defective, faulty, or damaged upon delivery.
- You received the wrong product or quantity.
- The product is unused, in its original packaging, and returned within the specified timeframe.
Please note: Products that are correctly supplied, custom-built, special orders, or installed on-site may not qualify for a refund.
2. Return & Refund Period
To qualify for a refund or exchange, you must notify us within 7 days of receiving your product.

3. Inspection and Approval Process
Once your request is received, our team will:
- Inspect the returned product or verify the reported issue.
- Approve the refund or exchange if the product meets our policy criteria.
- Process your refund within 5–10 business days after approval.
Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment (credit card, EFT, or cash payment).
4. Non-Refundable Items
Some products and services cannot be refunded, including:
- Items damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or neglect.
- Products correctly supplied, purchased on sale, promotion, or clearance (unless defective).
- Installation, maintenance, or repair services already completed on-site.
- Custom-ordered or modified equipment.
5. Exchanges
If you received the wrong item or a defective product, you may request an exchange instead of a refund.
We will replace the item as soon as possible, subject to stock availability.
6. Shipping and Return Costs
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong or faulty item).
- In cases of product defects or delivery mistakes, Motsebone Security and Electrical will cover all shipping fees associated with the return or replacement.
7. Services and Installations
Refunds do not apply to services that have already been rendered, including:
- Electrical, Pumps, and Aircons installations
- Security system installations (CCTV, Alarms, Intercoms & Doorbell, Gagrage Doors & Motors, Gate motors)
- Solar system installations and wiring
- Fault-finding and call-out services
If a service issue arises, our team will investigate and offer a repair, adjustment, or service credit where applicable.
